How can the existing buildings be extended while respecting the qualities of the park and the edge of the site?
With our design, we kill several birds with one stone. We are extending the existing buildings in deliberately chosen places with two point-shaped elements. Thanks to their relatively small footprint, the two do not compete with the existing buildings, especially the listed villa, which is roughly twice as high, and lean slightly over the edge of the site. It retains its effect. This is particularly important to us, as the edge of the site is an essential part of the cultural landscape.
The existing uses will be stringently extended and boarding rooms will be created for the pupils, which are ideal for withdrawing from the hustle and bustle of the school and create space for individual leisure activities.
